Note: Because we value your safety and the ability to withstand wear, pressure, or damage over time to your BMW's radiator, you will have to trim a small portion of the black plastic panel that sits above the radiator so that the top two Rad Guard mounting points can be fitted into position.
THIS IS THE ESSENTIAL AFTERMARKET PART!!!
Each Rad Guard comes with its own easy to read fitting instructions. The Rad Guard is bolted onto existing mounting points.
The oil cooler guard is securely hooked over the oil cooler and cable tied to the bottom of the tanks. Cable ties have to be used in this case because there are no solid mounting points under the oil cooler on the bike.
Aircraft grade 6060 T1 –T5 aluminium is used to manufacture our Expanded Mesh & Frames.
The rigid frame of the Rad Guard holds the expanded mesh in place so that hard hits by stones and any other road debris will save your core from certain damage. This rigid frame also acts as a brace to prevent the radiator core from being squashed if a side impact occurs. For example, the bike falls off the stand.
The Expanded Mesh has proven to be the perfect choice of material. It is lightweight and very strong. It does NOT restrict air flow.
The Expanded Mesh sits off your radiator core by approximately 10-15mm, so even a direct hit from a stone, bird or any other road debris will save your radiator core from being damaged.
All Rad Guards come with rubber backing were necessary to alleviate any rubbing or vibration. This has already been installed on the guard.
All Rad Guards come with a 3 Year Transferable Warranty.

Arrived in a couple of days from purchase and fitted great and easy
Stinks of quality and care. Great piece of kit. Both oil and rad guard fit perfectly. Very happy with the purchase. Highly recommend.
Scoured the Web and hands down this is best choice. Enough said...
So I removed the fairing. Took a while but just remember to place screws in separate containers. Moving the coolant container and hanging it, then affixing that back caused me the most grief. Cutting the plastic assembly as per instructions was very easy with my dremel and a hacksaw. Radiator and oil cover fit beautifully. Take your time. 3 hrs. 2.5 hrs stuffing around with fairing. Quality is superb and we'll worth the cost for peace of mind.
As soon as I opened the box I knew this was quality. It's not flimsy and looks great. Installation wasn't hard either. The instructions were clear and very helpful. Pulling the fairings off took more time than installing the guard. Once done it looks great on the bike. The piece of mind I now have is well worth the price and time I spent. Great job Rad Gaurd.
Got the oil cooler and radiator guards set for my new bmw S1000rr i had recently bought and these guards are fantastic very well built got the silver set and looks great on the bike easy and straightforward install and the instructions are clear and a must have for Aussie roads and also postage was super quick
You really know you need these when you've already got one bent fin on your oil cooler core from the 30 minute ride home from the dealer.
It's a bit unnerving cutting away little pieces of plastic on your brand new bike to get them to fit, but 5 minutes with the Dremel and it was all done. Once you get that part out of the way, they go on perfectly and look great too.
If they could work out a way to make these fit without the cutting part I'd give them 5 stars.
RAD GUARD comment: Thanks Kirbster, unfortunately due to the size of the Radiator, the top mounting brackets could not be changed to go around this black plastic to be able to withstand wear and tear. We would rather to be safe then sorry when it comes to your safety.
2015 s1000RR. I want quality, craftsmanship, reliability. For the street you have the best protection. For the race track it's more ease of mind knowing you don't have to worry. Or visa versa. I recommend the guards to all my buddy's and they can't deny the quality.
The build quality and finish on the products is second to none. Hardest part of installation was the fairing removal. Bit disappointing that on the 2015 - 2016 model S1000RR you have to chop away some plastic from the bike, but once it's all together there is nothing to complain about. 5/5 would recommend :)
